On October 2nd 2008 the Concord Police Department, Criminal Investigations Unit, arrested a Concord resident after a lengthy fraud investigation. Arrested was:
Ronnell Wesley, age 30
Concord, NH
Receiving Stolen Property, RSA 637:7
Identity Fraud x 5, RSA 638:26
On August 18, 2008, the Oviedo Police Department, Oviedo, Florida notified the Concord Police Department of a fraud scheme that was being perpetrated by a Concord resident. The subsequent investigation revealed that Wesley had assumed the identity of a Florida resident. Wesley not only defrauded individuals by assuming their identity but he also defrauded business and banks of merchandise and money. A search warrant was executed on Wesley’s residence on September 12th and items of evidentiary value were found. In fact, Wesley was arrested at the Concord District Court where he was waiting arraignment on a drug possession charge stemming from that search.
This incident remains under investigation and there is some question as to Wesley’s true identity. This investigation has demonstrated the cooperative efforts between the Concord Polic Department, the United States Postal Service and the Oviedo, Florida Police Department. Wesley was held on $1,010,000.00 cash bail.
